One Step Closer Every Day

Spend a few minutes every day, reading, meditating and praying with God so that you can take one step closer to Jesus every day.

Sunday – Philippians 4:1-23 – What do you think Paul means when he uses the phrase, “the secret of being content”? How would you define contentment or peace?

Monday – Proverbs 23:1-12 – Why do we spend so much time and energy chasing after material wealth? Think about how you could spend your time differently if you aligned your priorities with God’s.

Tuesday – Matthew 6:19-24 – Money is temporary, but true riches are eternal. How can you begin to use the temporary resources you have to build up eternal treasure?

Wednesday – Psalm 49:1- 20 – The psalmist says that the truth of God is the same for the rich and for the poor. Read through this Psalm and see what God is saying to you.

Thursday – Mark 8:22-37 – Jesus was willing to give up his very life for something he considered more valuable – our lives. What are you willing to sacrifice for the most valuable thing – eternal life?

Friday – Psalm 37:1-40 – Read through this Psalm and see what God is telling you about how to manage the resources that God has lent to you.

Saturday – Acts 5:1-11 – God doesn’t ask us for everything we have, God simply asks us to give in a way that makes God smile. What does it mean for you to give in a way that makes God smile?

Join us next Sunday as we continue in the series called Be Better.

Most people just want to BE BETTER.  So Shiloh is embarking on a strategy to meet people where they are and in the process, introduce them to the “Author of BETTER” – Jesus.
