One Step Closer Every Day
Spend a few minutes every day, reading, meditating and praying with God so that you can take one step closer to Jesus every day.
Sunday – Luke 9:1-27 – What do you think is the connection between the story of the feeding of the 5000 and Jesus’ call to the disciples to “deny themselves, pick up their cross and follow him?”
Monday – Psalm 62:1-12 – Over and over the Psalmist reminds us that God ALONE is worthy of our worship. What are the things in our lives that we need to reprioritize in order to keep Jesus the main thing?
Tuesday – Galatians 2:11-27 – What does verse 20 mean to you? How can we live less for ourselves and more for Christ?
Wednesday – 2 Samuel 7:1-29 – David realized that though he had everything, life was not just about his comfort and convenience. What jumps out to you in David’s prayer?
Thursday – John 3:22-36 – What does John the Baptist’s testimony about Jesus tell us about what our testimony about Jesus should be?
Friday – 1 Corinthians 6:19-7:24 – Twice in this passage Paul reminds us that we are not our own – we were bought with a price. Spend some time today thanking God for the price God paid for you.
Saturday – Colossians 3:1-25 – This passage is all about submission to God and God’s authority in our lives. Can you name some things that you need to submit to God’s authority?
