Great Expectations – What are you waiting for?

Categories: One Step Closer

One Step Closer Every Day

Spend a few minutes every day, reading, meditating and praying with God so that you can take one step closer to Jesus every day.

Sunday – Luke 2:25-38 – Both Simeon and Anna were actively waiting to see the Messiah. How can you be in a posture of active waiting on God?

Monday – Isaiah 40:25-31 – What do you think it means to “wait on the Lord”? Why do you think the Bible says waiting on God gives us strength?

Tuesday – Acts 22:1-21 – God asked Paul “What are you waiting for”? because God had a job for Paul. What job is God asking you to do? What are you waiting for?

Wednesday – Psalm 130:1-8 – Waiting on God requires patience and trust. Why do you think it is so difficult for us to wait?

Thursday – James 5:7-12 – It’s hard to wait on God when you are suffering or in need. What are some of the tools you have used to help you persevere?

Friday – Micah 7:1-7 – Time seems to slow down when we are waiting, especially when things are not going the way we had hoped.

Saturday – Acts 1:1-11 – The disciples were asked to wait on the power of the Holy Spirit. Have you ever tried to head out on your own power without waiting on God?
