Weekly Devotional – One Step Closer Every Day

Spend a few minutes every day, reading, meditating, writing and praying with God so that you can take one step closer to Jesus every day.

Sunday –  Galatians 6:1-10 – Think about times when serving others has become wearisome.  How do you combat “serving fatigue” and remain faithful to God’s call?

Monday  Isaiah 40:1-31 The promise of God is that God will give strength to the weak and will give endurance to those who want to quit. What are the areas where you need strength and endurance?

Tuesday – Romans 12:1-21 – What do we need in order to turn “Random acts of kindness” into a lifestyle of love, acceptance, encouragement and service?

Wednesday – Psalm 46:1-11  God is our help in times of trouble. What does it look like for you to “be still” and rely on God?

Thursday – Philippians 3:12-4:1 – When you get tired, the Bible     reminds us to “press on.” Can you name some of the areas of your life where you need to press on?

Friday – Psalm 27:1-14  God’s promise of protection and help is mind, body and soul. Name some of the ways that God has been there for you.

Saturday – 2 Timothy 1:1-2:26  Chapter 2, verse 15 calls us to be “workers who are approved by God.” What are the characteristics of which God approves?
