One Step Closer Every Day
Spend a few minutes every day, reading, meditating and praying with God so that you can take one step closer to Jesus every day.
Sunday – Ecclesiastes 2:1-11 – How does this passage remind us that apart from God, wealth and pleasure are meaningless.
Monday – Luke 12:13-21 – Jesus reminds us that we cannot count on money for our security. How do we learn to rely on God more than money?
Tuesday – Ecclesiastes 5:8-20 – Solomon had all the money in the world, but still found life meaningless. Have you ever fallen into the trap of thinking that you will be happy if you just had more?
Wednesday – 1 Timothy 6:3-10 – How can the love of money lead us to dangerous places? Think about a time when you saw this happen.
Thursday – Ecclesiastes 6:1-12 – Solomon even says that wealth can be an ‘evil’. Think about what this means in your life.
Friday – Matthew 6:19-24 – How does Jesus define what it means to be “RICH” in this passage?
Saturday – Malachi 3:1-18 – Why do you think God wants us to give rather than just keep all we have? Think about how you give to God through the church.

This time of year it’s easy to feel stuck, in the doldrums, in the snow, in the rut, even in debt. Join us this Winter as we break through the routine and engage the reality that you were created for more. We will explore the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes as we learn to the secrets that Solomon learned to move beyond meaningless.
