One of the best ways to get connected at Shiloh is to get involved. No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, we have a place for you. Discover what so many of our volunteers have found: there is joy in being a part of the mission at Shiloh.

Lawn & Garden

This varies from season to season.  Attend scheduled workdays to maintain seasonal plantings and remove weeds. We have a landscaping company who handles the big stuff.  Some areas just need a little more TLC.

Choir

Sing a variety of sacred choral music for Traditional Worship.  Sundays, 9:00–10:30 am (Sept.–May).  Rehearsal Wednesdays at 7pm. Recommended Skills: Prior choral experience; ability to read music.

Traditional Worship 

Greeters serve as the first point of contact in the Gathering Space.
Welcome Team greets parishioners, hand out bulletins, collect offerings/prayer cards, tidy pews after worship. Liturgist reads Invocation and scriptures.

Media Team

Operate the computer to project slides, text, and images.  Operate the sound board - manage microphones and audio quality.  Operate robotic cameras and switching equipment for livestreaming services.

Grief Support

(Serving meals after a funeral)
We have areas for small and large gatherings in our church. The main dish is ordered from a caterer and side dishes are brought from members of the congregation. 4-5 people needed to set up, serve and clean up.

Community Dinner

Serve meals to the community from 4-7pm in John Wesley Hall.  Last Friday of the Month.
Exceptions: November - Friday before Thanksgiving;
December, no dinner.

Hospitality

Coffee, water and snacks are served from 9-11:00 in the Gathering Space. There is a sign-up sheet for people to bring snacks, set up, make coffee and fill water pitchers. Clean-up is done at 12:00 by our custodian.

Modern Worship

Welcome Team, Ushers, Communion Servants.
Vocalists & musicians - percussion, guitars, bass, keyboards/synth.
Audio/Visual, Online Streaming.

Upward Basketball

Basketball/cheerleader coaches. Logistics/Administrative. Set-up & tear-down crew. Referees. Scoreboard operators. Other helpers for evaluations, practice, halftime programs.

Children & Youth

Children's Ministries
Sunday mornings,
Wednesday night Kids Club.
Youth Ministry
Sunday mornings, Sunday night, The Huddle third Tuesday of the month, middle school &
high school bible study every other Thursday.

Team Hope

Build relationships and share food with those experiencing homelessness. We gather at Piatt Park on select Saturdays 10:30-noon. 

Homebound Visits

Be a part of a visitation team. Help coordinate special project and outreaches.
